- At time of writing we’ve got no real updates on John Cena’s injury although from speaking to one WWE employee earlier today, there are definitely some in the company who fear that Cena could require neck fusion surgery. If that is the case, Cena will likely be out of action for around a year, which means he’d not be available for WrestleMania XXV and likely also Summerslam 2009.
As noted in our update this morning, Cena will be examined later today in Pittsburgh by neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon at the …

The fantastic ending to the SummerSlam PPV where Edge got chokeslammed into the pits of hell was a great way to bring Undertaker back and give Edge some time off. The poetic justice of him getting payback for all the bad stuff he’s done towards the end was great too, but honestly Edge has been so great that if you’re giving him some time off and writing him out of the show for a short while, and wanting to show Undertaker as pissed off old guy teaching Edge a lesson, …

It was all going so well, despite many flaws. Until the final few moments, the Hell In A Cell Match that headlined Summerslam 08, featuring Edge and the Undertaker, was one heck of a silly match…
Now, now, don’t get your sweet, sweet panties all soiled. I’m not saying it was the pits - it was actually, a very good match indeed. I enjoyed it tremendously. Almost as much as those ol’ Spiderman Pez dispensers you used to get….But hear me out, that is not why I grumble.
So some people are …

Welcome back once more to “Throwing in the Towel”! It’s an exciting time at the moment in the world of wrestling. Not just because the Dead-man is erm, alive once more, and not just because Chris Jericho is wearing pants that reveal his shiny thighs, but because Summerslam, is just around the corner!
Now I’ve long been a fan of this super-show, often enjoying it much more than Wrestlemania. As a kid, I just always expected this one to be the show that would have the best matches, and as an …

This week’s SmackDown started with a recap of the Edge and Vickie wedding last week, to set the stage for this week’s follow-up. It’s almost like there wasn’t a PPV in between that. And a PPV main event won by Triple H no less - I can’t believe it wasn’t even mentioned.
The opening segment sees MVP in the ring, and that can only mean one thing - big things poppin, little things stoppin. His guest on the VIP Lounge is Jeff Hardy. MVP goes off on Jeff about not caring …

- Raw takes place tonight from Mohegan Sun, CT with the fallout from last night’s Great American Bash PPV.
No matches are announced at time of writing, however we should start to get an idea of where creative are taking the brand in the build up to Summerslam.
Based on last night, I think its highly likely Batista will face Kane in some capacity on August 17, although whether that is in a singles match or as part of a triple threat match with CM Punk for the World Title remains to …
