WWE this evening posted an update on John Cena’s surgery this afternoon at the University of Pittsburgh, revealing that the procedure was successful and that Dr. Joseph Maroon, Professor of Neurosurgery was very positive about Cena’s condition.
Dr. Maroon told WWE.com that Cena will be able to work out next week and should be able to return to wrestling in “two to four months.” That is certainly a much more positive outcome than was feared by many in WWE.
“We performed a microsurgical removal of a large disk fragment compression on the …

WWE have this evening announced that John Cena is undergoing neck surgery today under neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon at the University of Pittsburgh.
As we reported early, the original plan was for Cena to meet with Dr. Maroon today before flying to Texas on Wednesday to meet with Dr. Lloyd Youngblood.
The change in plans may obviously lead one to assume the worst. WWE posted on their website that they hope to have statements from Cena and Dr. Maroon online later.

As noted in our update this morning, Cena will be examined later today in Pittsburgh by neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon at the …

WrestleMania. Yes, I know what you’re thinking - that’s not until April next year. But you wouldn’t know it from the WWE’s recent booking. To say that the tradition of how the WWE normally booked the big show (and I don’t mean in an awesome boxer v. wrestler feud for WrestleMania, nor do I mean as a midcard nobody ever since then) has been broken is an understatement.
For years, WrestleMania has been the focal point of the WWE year, the show where the biggest matches happen and the biggest feuds …
