The Dreaded Nerve Hold Review - Hell in a Cell: The Greatest Hell in a Cell Matches of All time

Okay, so I’ll get this of my chest,as it’s only a minor quibble. But at the risk of sounding pedantic and like, well, a twat, I should point out the rather frivolous title that this WWE release sports.

“The Greatest,” “of all time,” implies that this collection of bouts is the cream of the crop, the best of the best, a selection where only the finest rise.

However, in the case of Hell in a Cell, that pretty much means all of them. There only have been sixteen Cell matches in company history and this DVD includes a whopping 14 of them. Hardly selective…

Welcome to the second week of my weekly coverage of Raw, with “Raw Bits!” With Summerslam seriously looming overhead, this threatened to be a very good episode indeed, with last week’s solid (in general) edition, and the intriguing use of Mike Adamle hinting at a few changes.
On with the show….
Tender Cuts
(The tasty parts)

Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho received quite the pop for interrupting the segment between JBL and Adamle, earning himself a “Y2J” chant. I would like to think that this response is down to two things- the fact that JBL/Punk may …

WrestleMania. Yes, I know what you’re thinking - that’s not until April next year. But you wouldn’t know it from the WWE’s recent booking. To say that the tradition of how the WWE normally booked the big show (and I don’t mean in an awesome boxer v. wrestler feud for WrestleMania, nor do I mean as a midcard nobody ever since then) has been broken is an understatement.
For years, WrestleMania has been the focal point of the WWE year, the show where the biggest matches happen and the biggest feuds …

Welcome to “Raw Bits”, my new Blog ( and if anyone can think of a better title PLEASE email any suggestions- brain freeze….gah!) At the moment, this column is a little rough, rugged, and un-furnished. But it will take shape in the coming weeks.
Basically, the idea is this: As “Throwing in the towel” deals with all manner of topics, mostly in detail, and skips back and forth through history, I often end up leaving out many of the musing I’ve came by each week, following Raw.
So this is the place …
