Here’s quick results from last night’s TV tapings in San Jose which air next week on June 17 (ECW) and June 20 (Smackdown). I should point out that some stuff on the show didn’t get over well with the crowd who I assume weren’t aware of this coming week’s shows being taped last night.

ECW:

- Hornswoggle beat Armando Estrada with help from Finlay. Short match, pretty much done for comedy.

- Evan Bourne beat Matt Striker. Bourne (Matt Sydal) looked good. No heat for this match at all.

- Kofi Kingston beat Mike Knox via DQ after Shelton Benjamin interfered.

- CM Punk beat John Morrison. Good match.

- The ECW taping ended with another Big Show-Kane-Mark Henry confrontation. Henry interrupted the other two and said he wants an ECW title shot after Night of Champions.

Smackdown:

- MVP opened the show with a promo which was interrupted by Vickie Guerrero, Hawkins and Ryder. Deafening heat for Vickie. MVP was wanting a new contract but Vickie wasn’t playing along, and said he’d take on Kane later on the show.

- Matt Hardy beat Bam Neely after a Twist of Fate. Chavo Guerrero was sent away from ringside during this.

- Michelle McCool beat Layla. Natalya was watching from ringside.

- Vladimir Kozlov beat Jamie Noble. Squash. Noble looked to have been hurt after a headbutt to the chest.

- Kane beat MVP via countout after MVP refused to get back in the ring. San Jose didn’t appreciate the finish.

- Great Khali beat Charles Robinson. Yep, the referee. Nobody really knew why this match was made. Khali won with his finisher and Robinson was stretchered out. I guess we may know why this is made from next week’s show that was taped Saturday but it didn’t get over live.

- Jesse and Festus beat Deuce & Domino. Deuce & Domino fought each other before the match even started. Looks like they’re splitting. Deuce threw his jacket off before walking out on Domino. After the match, D&D fought some more. Deuce hit a kick to the head of Domino. Well actually, he missed. That’ll be edited out. Second time he connected.

- Finlay beat The Miz. They’re building to Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Miz and Morrison at Night of Champions.

- Chavo Guerrero beat Batista via countout. Edge was special referee and was totally for Chavo. After the match, Batista gave Chavo a spinebuster, but Hawkins, Ryder, Neely and Chavo all beat Batista up. Matt Hardy made the save, along with Mick Foley, which got a huge pop to close the show.
